BODYSTORYTELLING

WHEN A STORY STARTS FROM A MOVEMENT

It is Guided process towards inner wisdom and insights.

Through dance and movement, we will explore our emotions,

beliefs and patterns and use mechanisms of reflection, observing and interpreting to understand them.

WHAT IS IT?

BodyStorytelling sessions are designed to bring more understanding, awareness and self- reflections in the connection of our psychological processes (mental and emotional functions) and physical body reactions/behavior and movement.

During the sessions, we explore these connections through movement and different body-mind techniques, bodywork, expressional dance and different movement exercises.

We aim to build more awareness of our body and movement that follows, behavioral mechanisms, what is driving them, what is the source of our movement expression etc. Therefore we will work a lot with belief systems that are integrated in our everyday life and search for the body-mind connection of it.

Our fundamental work will be body orientated, where those principles will not be explored by the mind, but reflected from the relaxed state of it and therefore observed.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

For any exploration of truly embodied movement and therefore clear visions of inner stories, one thing is needed - connection with ourselves, relaxed and fluid body and openness for expression.

On our sessions we will dive into our own bodies, find inner fluidity and relaxation and listen to our body language. This will be a platform where any personal movement patterns can be born and integrated.

PRINCIPLES OF WORK:

The inner journey is strongly connected with group dynamic process and can only "work" if we are openly willing to dive into ourselves and feel safe to do so.

This process is a combination of a ritual, observation, sharing, harvesting and expression in many forms. One of the most important things for me is to provide safe environment, where group can support and hold space for each other. I strongly believe we are always co-creators of each workshop. We bring our own authenticity, wounds, needs and desires. If the group can support this opening, many things can emerge, start cleansing and healing. One of the most important elements that can make this possible is acceptance. Willingness to listen our own inner movements and dynamics of the group. To create loving, accepting and welcoming feeling that supports self-expression and inner motivation to become truly ourselves.

FOR WHO?

This processes are suitable for everyone who is interested in psychology and likes to move.  Would like to know more about themselves and especially explore their connection to their bodies.

If you would like to get more in contact with your body and start to understand its needs.

Gain more understanding how body and mind function together and influence each other.

*No previous movement practice needed.
